Since 2016, we've made small-batch goat milk soap by hand in Southern California. The best part of that has always been hearing back from the people who use it. These are their words, shared with permission, exactly as they wrote them.
"I don't think I can use any other type of soap after this."
For years I had been addicted to purchasing soap. My goal was to stop using store bought items with long lists of ingredients. I tried so many different soap brands from small businesses and often bought soap bars while traveling out of the country. The soaps were great but there was still something missing. I hadn't found anything that I liked enough to keep buying.
Finally, while at the Melrose Farmers Market, I came across PËURR® soap! The owner was very sweet and I could tell how passionate he was about his product so I bought one bar to give it a try! I believe I got one with eucalyptus and mint. I used the bar soap regularly and loved it so much! It was great on my skin and was extremely helpful in clearing up acne from my face.

"PËURR® SOAP is the only soap I use for hair and body."
I was in LA visiting a friend in early 2024, and while my friend had an errand to run, she dropped me off at the farmers market. After spending about 45 minutes at the market, I was ready to head out, when I spotted the PËURR® SOAP booth. Even though I didn't need any soap, I decided to take a look anyway since I still had some time to kill.
After speaking with Jim, I learned that the ingredients only contained olive oil, raw goat's milk, lye, and essential oils. That's the type of soap I'd only buy for my body. I'm not a fan of soaps with coconut oil or other oils as they tend to dry out my skin. It's rare to find a soap that uses only olive oil as the main oil. So I decided to buy a small bar. The rest is history!
PËURR® SOAP is the only soap I use for hair and body. I also use it for my face. I love traveling with it as I don't need to deal with little bottles of liquids, especially for carry-on. I've recommended the soap to friends and they've been hooked as well! So glad I found you "randomly" during my trip to LA!

I started out searching for shampoos that didn't make my hair fall out. Then I wanted to get away from plastic bottles. I searched for bar shampoos but found them either filled with too many chemicals (which made my hair fall out), too harsh, too perfumed, too something.
Then I found PËURR® goat milk soaps, which are the perfect soaps for everything. Gentle soap, beautiful scents (though I use the unscented which still smells lovely) and cleansing without stripping all the oils we need to protect the skin and hair. One bar lasts quite a long time, and I use it for body and hair.

I discovered PËURR® soap earlier this year when we escaped to Palm Springs from Portland's rainy winter. While there, we visited the street fair one night and stopped by the PËURR® booth.
I love quality soaps, so much that I used to buy soap from Portugal online. Now I don't have to do that any more! Such a nice little luxury that makes an everyday shower a treat!
So, when we stopped by the PËURR® booth I could not resist the lavender soap and bought a few bars and some other "flavors" for me and my daughter. I first found you at the Thursday Night Market in Palm Springs. It was so nice to find good soaps that were not just flowery smelling.
On my first use it smelled very strong while showering but left just a slight scent on me, a pleasant "hmm, what was that?" if someone walked by and did notice! I also totally enjoy how smooth and clean my skin feels after each use.
The other huge bonus is one bar for cleansing, shampooing, and shaving, as I work as a Workamper and have to take all my shower needs (now just one bar) to and from the showers each day. Thank you for simplifying my life and improving my health!

"I have been showering with PËURR® soap exclusively ever since."
I believe it was back in 2017 when I first met Jim at the Farmers Market in La Cañada and was introduced to his PËURR® soap. I was undergoing cancer treatment at the time and was particularly interested to learn of this artisanal soap's gentle versatility on skin and hair (or what little hair I had at the time).
I have been showering with PËURR® soap exclusively ever since and have celebrated Christmas with PËURR® soap and the agave washcloth for everyone at least a few times. It's the best! The body butter is also amazing, super moisturizing and with the same beautiful essential oil scent as the soaps. My husband often remarks on how soft my skin is, and the fact that the soap is equally good for skin and hair is great for travel!

My family first discovered PËURR® on a trip to Palm Springs. After dinner, we decided to stop by the evening farmers market, where my son and his wife came across the booth and picked up several bars of soap. They were so impressed with the scents that they encouraged me to stop by and take a look.
